Privacy Policy

What we collect

If you subscribe, we collect your email address, consent status, subscription source, campaign labels, landing path, referring domain, an anonymous referral code, and delivery history. We do not store the full referring URL. If you enable browser alerts, we store the technical push-subscription details needed to send them. We also receive limited technical and aggregate usage data through Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights. If you explicitly allow our first-party product measurement, we set a random reader identifier and record page visits, repeat-reading days, app-install actions, standalone-app opens, and notification choices. These records do not contain your email address, IP address, full referring URL, or browser user-agent. If you explicitly allow measurement and arrive through an advertisement, Google Ads may set or read advertising click identifiers and receive a subscription-conversion event. We do not use this tag for remarketing or personalised audience lists.

How we use it

• To deliver editions and requested browser alerts.
• To operate, secure, diagnose, and improve the service.
• To record consent, withdrawals, opt-outs, and delivery outcomes.
• To decide from aggregate reader behaviour whether native apps are justified.
• To measure whether a paid campaign produces genuine subscriptions.
• To respond to feedback, privacy requests, and complaints.

We do not sell your personal data. Service providers including Vercel, Supabase, Brevo, Resend, and—only after measurement consent— Google Ads process data to support hosting, storage, analytics, operational notifications, email delivery, and advertising conversion measurement.

Your choices

Every edition includes an unsubscribe link. You can also disable browser alerts through the site or your browser settings. Anonymous product and advertising-conversion measurement is off unless you allow it, and you can change that choice below at any time.

Retention and security

We retain subscriber and operational records only for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, honour opt-outs, meet legal obligations, and protect the service. First-party reader measurement events and the associated random browser identifier are retained for no more than 180 days. Access to production data is restricted, and sensitive credentials are kept outside the public application. No internet service can promise absolute security.

Updates

We may update this policy as the service changes. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised date.
