Editorial purpose

The 7AM Brief helps busy readers understand consequential developments across business, the economy, policy, technology, climate, and global affairs. Selection is based on relevance, likely impact, timeliness, and the value of explaining why a story matters.

AI-assisted production

Automated systems assist with collecting, clustering, ranking, drafting, and checking stories. Editorial rules require attributed claims, source links, neutral language, and clear separation between confirmed facts and uncertainty. The publisher periodically reviews output and the system itself. AI assistance does not remove the possibility of error.

Sources, images, and independence

Stories link to the material used to prepare them. We prefer primary and authoritative sources where available and seek corroboration for sensitive or disputed claims. Images are used only where their licence or permission permits and are credited on the story. The publication is independent; paid or sponsored content will be labelled clearly if introduced in the future.

Substantive confirmed errors will be corrected promptly and, where useful to readers, disclosed on the affected edition.
